My research focuses on the misogynoir in digital spaces that impact Black women and Black nonbinary, agender, and gender-variant folks. I look at how Hip Hop artists such as Megan Thee Stallion use their performance, music, and social media presence as a form of coping and harm reduction from these violent online experiences. I also look at how Hip Hop feminist pedagogy can be used to create curriculums for different academic settings, Black girlhood studies in digital spaces, and Black digital culture.
